Steven is on the job, not behind a desk. The person who quotes your project is the person painting it — and the one you call if anything's off.
Interior Painting / Doors & Trim / Drywall Repair / Texture Work
Bring new life to your home with careful, room-by-room interior painting. We cover bedrooms, living rooms, kitchens, and hallways — prepping surfaces, protecting your floors and furniture, and applying clean, even coats for a finish that looks sharp up close, not just from across the room.
Doors, baseboards, and window casings get the same attention as the walls around them. We sand, prime, and hand-cut clean lines so the details actually look finished — not just painted over.
Holes, cracks, and water-damaged patches get properly repaired before we ever open a can of paint — taped, mudded, sanded smooth, and blended in so the wall looks like nothing ever happened.
Small texture jobs — matching an existing wall texture after a repair, or smoothing out a patch so it disappears into the surrounding surface. Detail work that's easy to overlook until it's done wrong.
Pal Paints is a five-person crew out of Chicago, run by Steven. We're not the biggest name in town and we don't pretend to be — what we offer is careful work, honest pricing, and a real person who answers the phone.
Steven is on the job, not behind a desk. The person who quotes your project is the person painting it — and the one you call if anything's off.
The finish is only as good as the prep. We sand, patch, caulk, and tape before a drop of paint goes on — the boring part most of the price pays for.
A small crew means your job gets attention, not a rotating cast of subs. We start when we say and keep you posted the whole way.
Sherwin-Williams paint by default because it covers and lasts — and we're happy to use whatever brand you prefer if you've got a favorite.
One clear written quote. If something changes mid-job, we talk about it first — you'll never get a surprise number at the end.
Floors covered, edges cut clean, and everything hauled out and vacuumed before we go. You come home to a finished room, not a mess.
"I started Pal Paints three years ago because I was tired of seeing rushed, sloppy work handed to people who paid good money for it. We're a small crew on purpose — it's how I keep an eye on every job and stand behind what leaves my hands."
"You'll deal with me directly. I'll tell you honestly what your space needs, what it doesn't, and what it'll cost — and if it's something we don't do, I'll say so and point you somewhere good."

We're a newer, growing business, so we believe in being upfront: ask us anything about how we work, what we've done, and how we price. We'll always give you a clear, honest answer — that's how we earn the next job.
Pick a Sherwin-Williams shade and watch it drop onto a real room — shadows, light, and all. Every project includes a free color consult.
Tap a swatch — the feature wall updates instantly.
Preview uses a demo room to show how a color reads with real light and shadow — we'll bring physical swatches to your free consult. Want to see real finished jobs instead? Visit our Gallery.
We're a young company and every job matters to us. Here's what a few Chicago-area homeowners have said after working with the Pal Paints crew.
"Steven repainted our whole living room and stairwell. He talked me out of a color I would've regretted and nailed the one we picked instead. Clean, on time, and genuinely nice to have around."
"We had a bad water stain and cracked drywall in the hallway. They patched it, textured it to match, and painted — you cannot tell anything ever happened. Fair price too."
"Had every interior door and all the trim redone. The spray finish is so smooth it looks factory. Small crew, but they moved fast and kept everything spotless."
"Steven quoted me honestly and even told me one room didn't really need repainting yet. That kind of straight talk is why I'll call him again."
"Accent wall in the family room came out perfect — deep charcoal, super even, crisp edges against the ceiling. They taped everything and there wasn't a single smudge."
"Responsive, tidy, and reasonable. Got a written quote the same day and they stuck to it. As a first-time customer I felt taken care of the whole way."
Yes. Every estimate is free with no obligation — we'll walk the project with you, answer questions on the spot, and follow up with a written quote.
Furniture moved and covered, floors protected, surfaces cleaned and patched where needed, then two coats applied with clean cut lines. Doors and trim can be included in the same visit.
Chicago, Springfield, Peoria, Lockport, and Deerfield. If you're outside those areas, reach out anyway — we'll let you know if we can make it work.
Of course. We default to Sherwin-Williams because we know how it performs, but we're glad to use whatever brand or specific color line you prefer.
A single room usually takes a day. A whole-home interior runs 2–4 days depending on size and how much drywall or texture work is involved.
